Garg Covered Porch Addition – Theta Homes' First Project
The Garg Porch project holds a special place in Theta Homes' history — it was our very first project, completed in October 2015.
The Garg family wanted to enlarge their covered porch, but the home's proximity to the front setback lines prevented expansion under County code restrictions. Working creatively within these constraints, Theta Homes designed a solution that dramatically improved the home's curb appeal without exceeding the allowed footprint.
The design featured a thick round tapered column with a Roman Ionic capital, a false balcony with enriched balusters for added visual depth, and flared brick steps to replace the existing straight stairs. The existing entrance door was also refinished as part of the project.
